The ratification by Spain of the New York Convention and the subsequent enactment of the Arbitration Law of 1988 meant a radical change in the legal framework of the arbitration institution in our country. The new Arbitration Law of 2003 gave a new and decisive boost to international arbitration.

Within this framework, our lawyers have repeatedly intervened in the solution of legal conflicts through arbitration. Among them, two recent ones between an important telecommunications company and an insurance company (of amounts of 30 and 25 million Euros respectively) and an arbitration between two important electricity companies of 33 million Euros stand out.
